Yorkshire | Fleur & Grey - A beautiful home and gift shop

My mum has been telling me about home and gift store, Fleur & Grey for a few months now but my first opportunity to go wasn't until Easter bank holiday weekend.

Fleur & Grey is based in Huddersfield, it has good curb appeal (complete with a flag) and lovely dressed window, with a very welcoming shabby chic stylish interior and the prices are surprisingly really affordable.I go to alot of gift shops like this and in comparison the prices were really refreshing.

I think its clever really as there were beautiful items for all prices ranges and usually if you were looking for a little something in a few other places I have been before you would end up with a small scented candle for £5 instead of a lovely heart mug and bunny spoon for £6.50 like I did here at F&G.

The store is a small space but it didn't feel jammed, so you could browse everything with ease and the layout was like a home from home so you could plan where you could place the item in your own home if you decided to purchase. I especially liked the huge table in the middle of the room and a open draw near the counter with bits and bobs in it.

There was a lovely choice of cards available too, very Kate Spade!

This bunny print cotton cushion with inner included was only £12!

As you can probably tell by the name there is a theme of grey throughout which is very popular in home decor right now. There were some brands like East of India featured, but most of the items available I hadn't seen before and if you wanted to splurge they had more expensive items too.

As soon as I saw this large grey bobble jar, it had my mums name all over it. With only one left in store, I said mum you need this and for only £25 we thought it was really good price. I think if we had left the store without it, we would have probably regretted it.

The cheapest thing I bought which has ended up being my favourite is this LOVE spike for only £1. It was shown in a couple of times throughout the store in different ways but I mostly liked the idea of including it in my roses to add a bit of something.

It was easter weekend and there were plenty of bunny themed items available, look at this cute bunny spoon for only £2.50 and heart mug for £4.50!

My final purchase was something that I think had been around since Christmas but I was sooo pleased to find him! Look at my new copper stag bottle topper!! He is the perfect new addition to my Bar Cart (see previous post here).

The owner behind the counter was so nice and she really added to the experience in store and you felt so relaxed just having a look with no pressure to buy, I can't wait to return.

You can follow Fleur & Grey on Instagram @fleurandgrey, where they post pictures of stock so you see more of the products they have available.

Fleur & Grey is also on Facebook and the postcode is HD8 9DA if you wanted to drop by. The store is open Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 4pm.
