Beauty | Tricks for tired eyes

It's been a long 2 weeks packing up our flat and moving into a house, who knew you could squeeze so much into a small space...stay tuned for some house type posts in September.

What I am trying to tell you is that for the last couple of week's i've not slept that much, worrying about packing, then having so much to do - I've been getting up early = tired eyes.

I have been spending extra time on my skin care over the last couple of days and I think I have found a winning combination. Prepping your eyes the night before, followed by some good skincare in the morning and some handy make up tricks, I am starting to look back to my usual self.

Evening Skin Care - ZZzzzz
Removing your make up at night is a must, and we are all guilty of forgetting or just can't be bothered, but evening is the time your skin rejuventates and your chance to improve any stubborn dry skin or in my case tired eyes.
I start and end my day with Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish then once I have dried off my face, I apply Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair gel which is essentially an eye lift in a  jar! Then i apply Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream to the rest of my face (previous review).

Morning Skin Care - YAWN
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish is amazing, if you have never tried it, you really must. My mum got me hooked and now I couldn't live without it. On Saturday's I treat my skin to a double dose (Top Tip from Liz via QVC). Liz Earle Eye Bright can remove eye makeup but I don't use it for that, I use it to sooth my eyes and they give your eyes some sparkle - for £10 its really good value.

Makeup - Hello World
Boots Botanics Eye Cream - I discovered this when I was looking for help with dark circles about 3 months ago and it's become part of my daily routine. Removes any puffiness and somehow stops the dark circles shining through.
YSL Touche Eclat is essentially a highlighter, but its also a good reflector, so once the eye cream and my daily moisturiser is soaking in, I apply a few strokes of the golden pen under each eye and around my nose.
Estee Lauder Double Wear - I will never buy another foundation I love this so much, it's long lasting and provides me with the right amount of coverage for flawless skin.

Not the best photo but just to show how much a little bit of prep with some handy makeup and skin care tricks can really improve and hide those tired eyes until you can get some extra zzz's.

Hope you find this useful - Happy Saturday!
